Trust and safety
Plain answers about what we verify, what we don't, and the promises Trackara can actually keep.
Before a mechanic can receive requests, a person at Trackara reviews their business details, current liability insurance and any credentials they list. Lapsed insurance pauses them automatically. This is a check, not a guarantee of their work: always agree the quote, and ask about their warranty, before work starts.
The business name, service area and the vehicles and work the mechanic says they take. These decide which requests they are offered.
Carrier, policy number and expiry date. A mechanic whose insurance has lapsed stops receiving requests automatically, every day, until it is updated and re-checked.
Certifications such as ASE or RVIA/RVDA, and a state license where they list one, with numbers and expiry dates.
Every profile is reviewed by someone at Trackara before it can receive requests. Profiles can be paused or removed at any time.
Being clear about this matters as much as the checks.
Sending a request costs nothing and needs no account.
Only the mechanic who accepts sees your name, phone, email and address. We never sell them.
You pay the mechanic directly for work you agreed to. No platform fees on your repair bill.
If no verified mechanic near you can take it, we email you. No silence.
Only a customer whose request was completed through Trackara can review, once per job. Mechanics can reply. We only remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic or fraudulent, never because they are negative.
No made-up mechanics, reviews, counts or prices anywhere on this site. If a number is shown, it is real and live.

Example request, for illustration.
Tell us at support@trackara.app with your request link. A person reads every message. If a mechanic behaved badly, we can pause their profile while we look into it.
If you feel unsafe, call 911 first. For vehicle safety defects, you can also report to NHTSA at nhtsa.gov.
